Ready to party down and push the artistic envelope?

The theme for this year's undisputed party of the summer--the Mattress Factory's (MF) Urban Garden Party--is silver screen glamour meets urban playground, as chairmen Michael White and Rick LeBeau team up to present the bash that will forever be known as "From Hollywood to Paradise."

With a creative twist on the see-and-be-seen happening, the MF is encouraging people to come dressed as their favorite celebrity. Channel your inner Marilyn, Brando or even Brangelina, and compete in the event's best-dressed contest at 9 p.m. And yes, a photo editorial in an unnamed local fashion mag has already been secured for the winners.

The party's signature mix of world-class entertainment, cutting-edge international contemporary art and the top locally created cuisine is known to sell out. Last year more than 1,000 descended on the distinctive Northside venue to help support the museum's mission during its primary annual fundraising effort.

The Garden gala kicks off at 6 p.m. with a trademark VIP Pre-Party. Hosted by Bob Sendall of All in Good Taste Productions and Bossa Nova's Robin Fernandez, the sneak peek will get the party started with a special musical performance by a Pittsburgh-based Dr. Zoot.

You'll do a double take at headliners AndrewAndrew--the world's preeminent iPad DJs--when you discover that the playful pair have literally dressed, worked and even eaten as mirror images of one other for more than a decade. Dance the night away under the stars with the fashion forward DJs' quirky mix of music, theatricality and threads.

Guests wandering in and out of the museum's wondrous garden and site-specific galleries will be lured by snake-adorned belly dancers, artful aerialist Erin Carey, immersive photo projections, and gravity defying ice sculptures. In between noshing and mingling, bid on silent auction items and help support the museum's award-winning artistic residency and educational programs.

Ready for round two? Just 36 hours later, on Sun., June 19th, the museum will swing open its doors from noon to 5 p.m. to host its annual Community Garden Party, a free daylong event featuring family-friendly puppet and dance performances, hands-on arts activities and vibrant music.
