Yvonne Campos Named Enterprising Woman of the Year

Yvonne Campos is one of 12 women across the nation to be honored by Enterprising Women’s Magazine. The award celebrates the nation’s best women business people and recognizes not only their accomplishments and achievements but also their influence and power in high-growth businesses. Recipients are leaders who give back by mentoring other women entrepreneurs.

“Women are starting businesses at twice the rate of men," says publisher Monica Smiley. "The numbers are growing dramatically, but there’s still only a small percentage that have revenues in excess of $1 million. It’s important for those women … to help other women business owners. We want to showcase and spotlight the women who are doing that. Yvonne Campos is a good role model in the Pittsburgh community.”

Picked from a pool of 400 nominations, Campos, Inc., a full-service market research and business consultancy, won in the category of businesses with more than $1 million and up to $5 million in annual sales.

Campos says, “We’re very pleased to be recognized at the national level. We’ve been in business 20 years and have been fortunate to be recognized locally, regionally, and by the state of Pennsylvania. This is our first national recognition. Our goal is to leverage that. The larger their business, the greater the impact women can have in the local and national marketplace.”
