Based on the stories of celebrated and influential English art critic, novelist, painter, and author John Berger, Quantum’s latest provocative production blends theatre, music and visual art.

Dan Jemmett, the Paris-based director behind Quantum‘s Dog Face and The Collected Works of Billy the Kid, will work his magic staging the new production amidst Helen Clay Frick‘s priceless collection of paintings and decorative arts at the Frick Art & Historical Center in Point Breeze.

A renowned art world figure and Booker Prize-winning author, London-born John Berger expresses his powerful, poetic and philosophical experiences with and musings upon great art masterpieces in both works. The production features the ensemble cast of Quantum's The Collected Works of Billy the Kid, which toured to Madrid’s Festival de Otoño after making its Pittsburgh premiere last season.

Set within the Frick Art & Historical Center's elegant galleries, the multi-faceted production will feature an interlude of Franz Schubert‘s Piano Quintet in A Major and as well as the museum’s latest exhibition, From Michelangelo to Annibale Carracci: A Century of Italian Drawings from the Prado. Featuring 16-century Italian master drawings, the new exhibition includes works that have never before been seen outside Madrid's renowned Prado Museum.

Quantum Theatre will present two performances of The Museum of Desire and Flowers in a Corner each night at 7 and 8p.m. For tickets, go here or call 412-394-3353. To make dinner reservations at The Café at the Frick, call 412-371-0600.
