California wine country got an intoxicating taste of Pittsburgh last weekend with the debut of filmmaker Carl Kurlander's “My Tale of Two Cities” at the Sonoma Valley Film Festival.
Kurlander's documentary is described as “the ultimate comeback story of Pittsburgh.” The filmmaker is a University of Pittsburgh film professor whose lists “St. Elmo’s Fire” among his screenwriting credits.
“My Tale of Two Cities” will make its Pittsburgh debut on Nov. 28 at the Byham Theater, timed around the Thanksgiving holiday, when many expatriates return home.
