Last Friday, PNC reported a second quarter net income of $803 million, vs. first quarter earnings of $603 million. PNC attributes the boost to higher revenue, lower expenses, and stabilizing credit quality. While such quantities of money are unfathomable to this simple man of letters, I wish the folks over at PNC the best for kindly erasing both of my overdraft fees last month.
