The U.S Open will return to Oakmont Country Club in 2016, marking its record ninth appearance at Oakmont, the most of any championship golf tournament at the course.
The Open was last held at Oakmont in 2007. The event generated nearly $60 million in economic impact for the Pittsburgh region, thanks to tens-of-thousands of live spectators and hundreds-of-thousands of television viewers.
The U.S. Women's Open will be held at Oakmont in 2010.
