L.L. Bean store approved for Pittsburgh-area mall

A Pittsburgh-area mall is getting an L.L. Bean store. Ross Township Commissioners approved plans for the new store to be built at the Ross Park Mall, just north of the city.

L.L. Bean got its start as a catalog retailer, but its fastest sales growth is coming from stores. The outdoors outfitter based in Freeport, Maine, says store sales grew 21 percent last year.
