We’re smart. Affordable. Innovative. As a region that morphed from steelmaking
to Meds and Eds, we were the first city to offer a Ph.D. in robotics and to put french fries on a sandwich. Now, readers in more than 160
countries have discovered a new reason to sit up and pay attention to
Pittsburgh each week.
Pop City, a free weekly e-magazine created here in March 2006, is a peppery blend of good news about Pittsburgh. Heralding the arrival of new companies, innovative developments and the people and places moving the city forward, Pop City’s mission is to enhance Pittsburgh's image both inside and outside the region.
“People tell us, ‘It’s about time someone showed all the good news happening in Pittsburgh,’” says founding editor and publisher Tracy Certo.
