Delta's direct flight between Paris and Pittsburgh took a great deal of behind the scenes travel, hand shaking, and colorful chart making on the part of the Pittsburgh International Airport marketing team. The new flight is good news, because access to nonstop flights is a major draw for big companies eyeing the Pittsburgh region as a potential home. With that focus in mind, the Heinz Foundation donated $200 thousand to the airport's marketing program, raising their annual budget to $475 thousand.
