If we are truly one of the greenest regions in the country, now is the time to prove it.
The
Pittsburgh World Environment Day partnership has teamed with Campos.Inc., a Pittsburgh-based market research firm, to develop a survey that hopes to accelerate sustainable policies and practices in the region. A few minutes of your time between now and Earth Day (April 22) will help leaders track the local green movement and move it forward!
"It's remarkable that a region being recognized for its green pedigree hasn't had a great survey on our green practices to date," says Court Gould of Sustainable Pittsburgh, a partner in the initiative. "We hope it will fill a gap and create credible data that can inform public policy. We'll be using it to get some important things done."
The survey will be offered twice, now and at the conclusion of WED. The idea is to gauge Pittsburgh's environmental attitudes and behaviors, create a baseline study for the future and use the survey as a teachable moment. The survey is based, in part, on national surveys and findings so we can see how the region stacks up, says Gould.
