Following a year of dazzling growth, RedPath Integrated Pathology is moving to a larger, more sustainable space in the Strip District to accomodate company growth.
The 2-year-old biotech company will relocate to two-floors, 40,000 square feet of warehouse space, the site of the former Spring Way Center which housed Kerotest Manufacturing Corp. RedPath doubled in size last year from 16 to 31 employees and expects to double again to 70 people by the end of 2008, with most of the growth in the sales and marketing department.
RedPath also added pathologists, technologists, laboratory technicians, a research coordinator and a senior manager, says Mary Del Brady, president and CEO.
"Pittsburgh is our home, and we look forward to continuing our history of growth, doubling or tripling sales volume each year, in our new state-of-the-art facility, says Del Brady. "The green design principles of our new space are in keeping with our life science mission.”
RedPath’s PathFinderTG platform is a genomic-based technology that provides physicians and patients with a definitive diagnosis when traditional methods are limited. While the pancreas diagnostic remains the company’s leading application, RedPath’s powerful and broad platform has been developed for a full range of diagnostics up and down the GI tract, says Del Brady.
