Twitterers, bloggers and podcasters alert! PodCamp Pittsburgh is back with an exciting slate of distinguished bloggers and panelists. No experience necessary and it's free!

While many cities across the country and world stage podcamps--an unconference for techies--the Pittsburgh event has grown to include just about everyone. It's fast becoming known for its great sessions and presenters, both local and national. The 4th annual Podcamp will be held on Oct. 10 and 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

"We have seen a surge of interest in social media this year — not just blogs and podcasts but Twitter, Facebook, and other forms," says Cynthia Closkey, one of the organizers. "We're making sure that PodCamp reflects this growing interest and the social media needs of the Pittsburgh community."

Whether you've been blogging for years or have never typed a tweet, come learn more about social media. The keynote speaker is City Councilman Bill Peduto on his role in the use of social media in government today. Also expect appearances by Freak Show Mikey and Big Bob of 96.1 FM, The Morning Freak Show, and Ginny Montanez, aka PittGirl, and her sidekick Mike Woycheck.
