B. There: She's been crowned Oxygen TV's "Featured Artist of the Month," shared the spotlight with Grammy-nominated artist Jason Mraz, is launching a national Hoover vacuum commercial, and has garnered praise at pageants and on Broadway alike.

Now, hometown soul sister Margot B. invites you to be a part of her live studio audience this Friday, August 20, as she records her new CD inside the intimate Northside theater.

A natural in front of the cameras since age nine, when she modeled for local and national talent agencies, Margot's trajectory has been steadily zooming toward stardom. At 13, she composed a tribute to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. that continues to be featured at national events.

As a teen, the industrious singer nabbed the National Miss Black Teen title, performed at charity fundraisers and Veterans Hospitals, and volunteered for Make-A-Wish and Children's Hospital. In 2005, Margot's first full-length CD, Unframed, was released to a sold-out crowd at the Hard Rock Cafe. Never one to rest, the star spearheaded Pittsburgh's Katrina Relief Benefit Concert at Mellon Arena, raising $185,000 for the American Red Cross.??

While at Pittsburgh's Creative and Performing Arts High School, Margot could be found performing the title role in AIDA, appearing in commercials for GNC, Dad's Dog Food, and the Black Family Channel, and training at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Civic Light Opera and Point Park University.

She's shared the stage with everyone from the Black Eyed Peas and Kelly Clarkson, to Nelly Furtado and Lupe Fiasco, performed the National Anthem at countless sporting events and charity fundraisers, and has belted it out for troops stationed in Cuba as part of Armed Forces Entertainment.

Named Best Female Vocalist at the 2009 Pittsburgh Hip Hop Awards, Margot B. creates a soulful sound that blends jazz and R & B, with dance floor worthy electro-disco flourishes. Now based in New York City, Margot also appears in the new feature film Love and Other Drugs (yes, that's with Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway!) and will star in an upcoming made-for-TV movie called My Destiny.

Attendees will receive a free copy of Margot's new single "Complete," recently recorded for Oxygen TV. There will be no admittance after 8p.m. due to recording. Valet parking is available.
