Tom Skelton, CEO of Foundation Radiology Group, sees the tremendous upside his company has with its location in Pittsburgh.
Coming back to Pittsburgh after 15 years, Skelton remarks, "If you look at the radiologists we are able to recruit, it's just a fantastic breeding ground. I've been extraordinarily impressed by the quality and breadth of young life sciences and health care oriented companies located here."
Foundation Radiology Group was founded by two radiologists and a telecommunications person as a bootstrap business that just kept growing. With a focus on providing radiology services to local community hospitals, they recently received outside investors in April and partnered with the Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania during October.
Constantly looking for ways to grow and improve, Skelton says that they are trying to broaden their offerings to better align with local physicians. They currently employ 67 and have enjoyed their recent growth with earnings of $7,570,240 from July to September-their highest quarter of the year which they are hoping to better soon.
