When clients sought consulting advice on moving into the online space, 4C stepped up and formed an interactive marketing and communications division, 4CDesignWorks, offering companies consultative technologies to achieve design goals. Further, it formed 4CGeoWorks, a division that provides mapping and information management tools to help companies make smart decisions about growing their business.

In business since 1986, the Forest Hills company has assisted firms of all sizes, making it one of the fastest growing IT software consultants in the region. Initially known as USConnect & The Waldec Group, the company became an operating group of IKON Office solutions Technology Services in 1997 and joined the PJ Dick-Trumbull-Lindy Paving family of companies in 2006.
Growth in sales has been 200 percent from 2006 to 2008 and employment has risen by 30 percent; the company currently employs 25 people.
Most recently, 4C was a finalist for IT for the Pittsburgh Technology Council's Tech 50 Award
.The company plans to expand its geographic reach to Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia in the near future.
