Ideally situated on the Ohio River just six miles to downtown, Bellevue is a walking community that features an impressive business district for its size. From a grocery store and hardware store to notable restaurants, and a popular coffee house,  Bellevue residents get the benefits of a small town while living minutes from  downtown.

Don't miss the Andrew Bayne Memorial Library housed in a gorgeous mansion, and some of the older and splendid homes in a similar architectural style. The borough has a wealth of churches, along with Bayne Park and Suburban hospital. Affogato owner Victoria moved here from D.C. and was blown away by the affordable housing and the walkable nature of small but sweet Bellevue.

In French that translates to "beautiful view".

Residents of Bellevue have a choice of four bus routes -- the 13, 14, 16, 19L. The 13 (formerly the western half of the 500 route) can be picked up on Lincoln Avenue and runs between West View Plaza and Downtown Pittsburgh. The 14 runs along Ohio River Boulevard between Ambridge, Sewickley and the North Shore, where riders can transfer to the T to Downtown at Allegheny Station. From stops along Lincoln Avenue, the 16 goes Downtown via the North Side/Mexican War Streets, while the 19L travels via Ohio River Boulevard.
